The reality of global interdependence
will become an established fact
in our awareness.
- Maitreya

POLITICS:
From Divisiveness to Harmony

A new energy pervades the planet now. This energy of equilibrium flushes out negative forces and then creates a state of alertness in individuals. It will lead to a whole new phase of life. Under the influence of this energy more and more people will revolt, because old habits, centuries-old codes imposed on the mind, must be broken. People will not accept imposed solutions.

Throughout the world today, governments are faced with seemingly intractable problems. But a growing barrage of rules and regulations, Maitreya teaches, is not the answer, for this only causes people to become ill and demoralized.

Suppression or repression will collide against a growing awareness among the people. For example, when governments pass rules and regulations in order to ban those who are angry - for whatever reason - from speaking out, they will provoke murders and explosions no army can stop. "Where the people's voice is not heard, there will be revolution," Maitreya says. This is not prediction, but recognition of an inevitable effect. There is no smoke without fire, He explains; if you choke off the smoke there will be an explosion. The same law of cause and effect that applies to nature applies to human beings.

New inner energy is releasing the Self from the bondages of life, and the politicians are realising it is the will of the people which is important.

The divisive art of politics has come to an end, and a new one that respects harmony will soon succeed. The new politics will no longer be moulded by the 'isms' of capitalism or socialism, but created from self-respect in individuals and nations. Liberty, freedom and salvation will be the objectives of everyone, for they are one and the same.

The reality of global interdependence will become an established fact in our awareness, and as it does, so the fact that 'all men are brothers' will be increasingly translated into structures and practical programmes of action that reflect this reality. Nations can and will experience brotherhood, common goals and common aspirations.
