Transport will become so apparently motionless, so silent, vibrationless, that fatigue will disappear, and we will be able to go on long journeys without feeling tired. Also, a time is coming when humanity, just by thought, as the Masters do now, will be able to place themselves anywhere in the world. So if you want to go somewhere in the world, think yourself there and back again. The cities of the future will be transformed. Teams of architects, national and international, will meet and discuss ideas on how to beautify and improve city life. Gradually, the worst areas of slums and decayed buildings in the major cities will be replaced by more liveable housing, interspersed with recreational parkland and shopping areas. Certain parts of the new cities will be set aside as sanctified sites for worship and prayer. In the future we will create computers that respond to human thought so completely that they will be programmed to make all the artefacts of everyday life. This advance will free us for leisure and for an exploration of our own nature and creativity. A fundamental shift will also take place in the educational field. Education in the new age will teach the fact of the soul and the evolution of consciousness. With the presence of the Masters openly in the world, humanity will come to realize that the soul does indeed exist. It will become clear that reincarnation is a fact of life and that we are each here on earth for a certain purpose: the evolution of the soul in incarnation, carrying out the evolutionary process. Each person's education will be geared toward the working out of the soul's purpose in life. Do we have to do
something to deserve all this? Well, we do have to become decent human beings
and recognise that we are one, brothers and sisters
of one humanity, and therefore that that food, the raw materials, the energy,
the scientific knowledge, the technology, the educational systems, the health
care of the world, belong to everybody, and must be redistributed more
equitably around the world: so that we create the reality of the one
humanity, the brotherhood of man. And, in this way, we will create the right
conditions to deserve all these technological advances. [The Emergence Quarterly newspaper, Background Information Issue]
